One day St Christopher helped a child across the river. As they reached midway the river rose and the child’s weight grew and he became very heavy. St Christopher managed to safely deliver the child to the other side.
Once to the other side St Christopher asked the child why he became so heavy and the child said He was the Christ and St Christopher carried Him and the weight of the whole world on his shoulders. Then the child vanished.
